Yard Technician

Job Title: Yard Technician

Reports to: Branch Service Manager

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

This candidate will be responsible for the delivery / receiving of all construction equipment entering and leaving the yard, as well as yard organization. They will perform basic check-ins and preparation of new, used and rental equipment. Perform any necessary building maintenance assigned by management. Ability to drive a company vehicle to run necessary errands to support our customers and technicians. This candidate must be a self-starter, well organized and able to work without direct supervision. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

DUTIES & TASKS

• Performs Receiving and Delivery of all construction equipment and attachments, including but not limited to:
• Mechanical Inspections
• Fueling of New and Rental Equipment
• Pressure Washing and Detailing Equipment
• Perform any Light Mechanical Repairs
• Photograph equipment leaving and returning to the yard.
• Assist Field and/or Shop Technicians when needed on repairs.
• Run errands as requested by management or foreman, including but not limited to:
• Delivery of parts and/or tools to technician on customer’s jobsites
• Delivery or Pick-up hydraulic hoses, cylinders and any other items needed to support our technicians or customers.
• Delivery or Pick-up of attachments.
• Maintain organization of all equipment and attachments on the yard.
• General maintenance of the facility, including but not limited to:
• Picking up trash and debris
• Sweeping shop floors
• Replacing light bulbs
• Cleaning general work areas
• Perform any assigned task given by management or foreman.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Ability to lift up to 70lbs
• Work outdoors when necessary.
• This position is exposed to working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles and moderate noise level.
• This position requires climbing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, moving and reaching overhead

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent, a plus.
• Good computer skills.
• Valid driver license with a good driving record.
• Must have a satisfactory background check prior to accepting the position and pass a post job offer drug screen and physical.
• Must complete MSHA, First Aid, and CPR training as required.
• McClung-Logan Equipment is an Essential Business. This is not a work from home position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
