Job Description: ACT1 Federal has an immediate need for a Talent Acquisition Specialist. The TA Specialist will perform full-life cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, and hiring direct, contingent and pipeline candidates as ACT1 Federal continues to grow. You will partner with the ACT1 Federal functional leads to determine staffing needs and to recruit, interview and hire prospective new employees.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers during the intake process to create and develop job requisitions using ACT1’s compensation system to determine job responsibilities, pay grades and make salary recommendations.
- Partner and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, program managers and site leads to understand their customer’s mission, culture and environment to produce strong candidates specific to their hiring needs, and position specifications.
- Plan advertising and post available positions in compliance with company policy, procedures and federal and state laws.
- Search for candidates using various sources such as databases, internet recruiting resources, networking, job fairs, media advertisement, recruiting firms and employee referrals.
- Interview candidates and evaluate employment factors such as job experience and training, skills knowledge and abilities, and other data pertinent related to the job requirement.
- Prepare applicant assessments, provide applicants with company and benefit information, and coordinate an applicable background and ensure a successful hiring and on-barding process.
- Continuously communicate with hiring managers on the status of requisitions, candidate quality and candidate pipeline through the full-life cycle recruiting process.
- Maintain accurate documentation on all candidates and searches though applicant tracking system as well as track metrics regarding recruiting activity in compliance with company policy and procedures, federal and state laws.
- Proactively research and investigate new ideas and create innovative sourcing strategies for direct, contingent and pipeline hires.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of proven work experience as a Recruiter/TA Specialist in the government contracting industry required.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of DoD clearances, government contracting and OFCCP rules and regulations is required.
- Prior DoD recruiting experience (Air Force, Navy, Army, DHS) required.
- Prior support filling direct and contingent staff roles, (e.g. Finance, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Program Management, Acquisition in a government contracting environment).
- Hands on experience with various interviewing formats (e.g. phone, teams and panel interviews).
- Knowledge of internet research, including sourcing and database mining techniques.
- Must be self-motivated and results driven.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with candidates and hiring managers effectively/efficiently is required.
- Ability to make sound decisions and exercise the judgement to identify and elevate complicated issues for resolution with your manager required.
- Must be detail oriented and organized and have excellent time management skills.
- Experience with Workable ATS is desired, not required.
