Join our vibrant HR team as a Senior HR Generalist where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive HR support across a range of essential functions. This is an exciting chance to dive into areas such as payroll, benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding, compliance, and employee relations. We are looking for a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills, ready to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues at all levels of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Benefits & 401(k) Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, such as health insurance and retirement plans, while assisting employees with inquiries and enrollment in these offerings.
  • HRIS Administration: Maintain and administer the HRIS system to keep employee records accurate, generate insightful HR reports, and support data integrity. Work closely with the Head of HR to enhance HRIS functionality and improve processes.
  • Payroll & Employee Inquiries: Oversee the payroll process to guarantee precise and prompt distribution of paychecks. Address employee questions about payroll, resolve any discrepancies, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
  • Offers, Onboarding, New Hire Orientation, New Hire Training: Spearhead the offer process for new employees, prepare offer letters, and may conduct onboarding while facilitating orientation and training to ensure newcomers have a seamless transition into the company.
  • Offboarding: Oversee the offboarding experience, conducting exit interviews, ensuring that all necessary documents are completed, and providing a smooth transition for departing team members.
  • Employment Verifications: Address requests for employment verifications, ensuring responses are timely and accurate, while adhering to company policy and legal standards.
  • Workers' Compensation: Manage the workers' compensation process, including the reporting and tracking of claims, overseeing leave, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
  • Employee Concerns: Serve as a confidant for employee relations issues, addressing concerns with discretion and professionalism.
  • HR Policies: Update, maintain, and communicate the company's HR policies and procedures to ensure they align with labor laws and are consistently applied.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Leave of Absence Management: Administer the leave of absence process, including Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), disability, and other job-protected leaves, while ensuring legal compliance and proper documentation.
  • Coaching and Advising Managers: Provide valuable coaching and guidance to managers on employee performance, conflict resolution, and various HR-related topics to cultivate a positive and effective work environment.
  • Other professional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a generalist role.
  • Extensive understanding of HR best practices, federal and multi-state labor laws, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience with benefits administration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and administration of HRIS systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and detail oriented.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with government contracting compliance (AAP, VETS 4212).
  • Experience with Bamboo HR & Payroll, Workable, and Lattice.

Pay Transparency
This job posting may cover multiple career levels. To ensure greater transparency, we provide base salary ranges for all roles, regardless of location. Our standard pay ranges are based on the role’s function and level, benchmarked against similar growth-stage companies. Compensation may vary based on geographical location, as certain regions may have different cost-of-living factors. The final offer will also be influenced by the candidate's skills, responsibilities, and relevant experience.

Compensation Range

The Compensation Range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000.
