XMSTART is looking to add an experienced and strategic full-time HR Director to our team. This position is REMOTE.
The HR Director is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources department and implementing strategic HR initiatives across the organization. This leadership role involves shaping the company’s workforce culture, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and managing a variety of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and training. The HR Director will work closely with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business goals and foster a positive, high-performance workplace environment.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Partner with senior leadership to influence business decisions and provide HR expertise on organizational development, workforce planning, and change management.
- Drive the HR vision and foster a workplace culture that reflects the company's values and enhances employee engagement.
Talent Management:
- Oversee recruitment efforts to ensure a strong pipeline of top talent and manage the onboarding process.
- Lead talent development programs that promote continuous learning, leadership development, and career progression.
- Ensure effective succession planning to meet the organization’s future leadership needs.
Employee Relations & Culture:
- Serve as a key advisor on employee relations issues and conflict resolution.
- Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, promoting open communication, and resolving disputes.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to ensure a respectful and inclusive workplace.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Oversee the company’s compensation and benefits strategies to ensure they are competitive and in alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage annual salary reviews, bonus structures, and employee benefits packages.
- Monitor compensation trends and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
Performance Management:
- Lead the design and implementation of performance management systems that promote accountability and employee development.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of performance evaluations, feedback, and recognition programs.
- Work with managers to address underperformance and implement corrective actions.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and standards.
- Oversee the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures to ensure legal and ethical practices.
- Manage HR-related audits and work to minimize legal risks.
HR Technology & Data Analytics:
- Utilize HR systems and technologies to streamline HR processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance decision-making.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis of HR metrics to inform business strategies and HR initiatives.
- Leverage HR data to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to build a high-performing department.
- Establish clear goals and performance metrics for HR staff.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the HR team.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of HR experience with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, ideally in a fast-paced or large organization.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and HR systems.
- Proven experience in developing and executing HR strategies that align with business goals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage complex employee relations issues and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use HR data to make informed decisions.
- Ability to foster a positive organizational culture and drive change effectively.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) is preferred.
Work Environment:
- The HR Director typically works in an office setting with occasional travel for organizational needs or HR-related events.
- Must be adaptable and comfortable with remote work and virtual team management, if applicable.
