As Environmental, Health, & Safety Manager, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to the facility through the application of Company principles, ensuring that systems effectively address the facility’s EH&S risk profile, develop and/or align the facility EH&S strategy according to the business/enterprise health and safety plan, and facilitate health and safety ownership throughout the organization. We are looking for candidates who wants to create long term value, who

The candidate will work a Day-Based work schedule, but have 24/7/365 responsibilities, so should
assume that some night and/or weekend work will be required when necessary. Other responsibilities
include:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead & manage the site EH&S team. Provide team members with work assignments, training,
feedback, coaching, support, and development opportunities. - Assists facility leadership with the development of short and long-term EH&S objectives, targets,
strategies, and measures that prioritize and mitigate risks. - Develops shared EH&S vision and provides leadership and direction to achieve the EH&S vision
through management commitment and employee ownership. - Coordinates an active investigation team to participate in incident investigations, root cause
analysis, and corrective action development and implementation. Drives RCA. - Ensures compliance standard owners are in place for each subject matter area.
- Leads the development of risk assessment methods/systems for anticipating, identifying and
evaluating hazards. - Develops and manages leading and lagging metrics to gauge and guide the EH&S performance of
the facility. - Develops action plans that address the facility’s culture and risk.
- Ensures site employees understand and exercise their decision rights regarding EH&S.
- Ensures the development, improvement, and implementation of training systems to meet
facility needs, utilizing qualified instructors. - Work with the Corporate EHS Team as appropriate to implement improvements, assess issues
and implement corrective actions as necessary. - Engages in capital and expense project planning and execution to ensure safe and efficient
execution. - Ensures EH&S records are managed in accordance with records management and the applicable
EH&S standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, health, environmental science, or other related fields.
- 2+ years of experience in a management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of experience working in an EHS related role.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Certified Safety Professional or Process Safety Management experience
- Experience in petrochemical or chemical manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910
- Previous leadership role in safety management.
- Experience working with government and regulatory agencies to ensure Environmental Compliance with all applicable local and national laws and standards
