We are seeking a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for recording and updating financial information for our companies and assisting with accounting functions. This position works collaboratively with the Finance & Administration Team and reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post certain month end journal entries for all companies, including but not limited to accruals and prepaid recognitions
- Perform regular, basic reconciliations of various Balance Sheet accounts
- Maintain fixed asset schedule including tracking in-service dates and fully depreciated or disposed-of assets
- Review and approve all credit card receipts and expense reports from employees for coding, appropriate business expenditure, and receipt matching
- Manage integration of accounts payable invoices, payments and credit memos between accounting ERP and accounts payable system; ensure integrity of data by resolving errors and investigating differences
- Manage regular uploads of data from non-integrated systems into accounting ERP to ensure integrity and maintain control over data for distribution and sales reporting
- In coordination with Logistics and Procurement Manager, regularly review all outstanding, prepaid and unreceived purchase orders to ensure status validity
- Perform accounting for property management, holding and related entities including invoicing customers, tracking and following up on accounts receivable, maintaining agreements and rent schedules, processing and recording accounts payable, and basic balance sheet reconciliations
- Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for utilized accounting and finance processes
- Provide support for the annual financial audit and other independent reviews of company records
- Assist in preparation of regular tax calculations and filings
- Perform periodic inventory counts with Accounting and Operations teams
- Communicate and collaborate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across multiple departments, management levels, vendors, and other non-financial departments
- Crosstrain on other tasks within the department to provide support to the team as needed
- Provide support for other administrative functions as needed

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 2-3 years of accounting related work experience.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, cost accounting, and GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP software (preferred)
- Experience with Bill.com or other Accounts Payable module/system (preferred)
- This role operates in a professional office environment where most work is performed at a desk. Desk spaces are in open cubicles so there may be exposure to noise from our taproom operations and staff moving through the space.
- Lawson’s Finest has a policy regarding flexible work schedules that, on a case by case basis can allow for some remote work.
- Ability to sit through video conferences as needed
- Ability to work on computers, laptops and mobile devices
- Ability to safely lift and carry items up to 15lbs
