Full Job Description
The IT Operations Coordinator assists with the operational responsibilities of the ITS Technology Support Services team, including administrative tasks, project coordination, scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, inventory control, and change management processes.
The IT Operations Coordinator will communicate with stakeholders, coordinate asset life cycles, ship and receive equipment, track spending and purchasing, unpack and store equipment, maintain inventories, and support other teams on asset management best practices.
This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $23.66 - $29.58 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:
- Coordinate external communications for internal ITS projects, tracking milestones, and asset lifecycle management
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets including hardware and software.
- Ensure proper handoff for vendor break/fix issues with equipment
- Work with vendors to procure necessary IT equipment, software, and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of necessary equipment and software.
- Generate reports on asset usage, inventory status, and deployment progress; using this information for the reporting and preparing data for the annual budget cycle.
- Coordinate annual printer replacement operations including communicating with external vendors and stakeholders, technical resources, and scheduling
- Receiving, unpacking equipment, and recycling packaging
- Installation, delivery, and deployment of computers and peripherals.
Requirements
- Fluency with the use of multiple channels to support customers, including email, Zoom, and instant messaging.
- Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and office productivity suites. As well as creating reports with Excel or Google worksheets, using pivot tables and graphs.
- Interest and fluency with technology in the workplace are required.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency with asset management software and tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team but also self-motivated
- Experience in IT asset management or a related field is preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Must be able to lift and carry heavy, in excess of 60 lbs, equipment up or down several flights of stairs occasionally.
