ProvenCFO is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Representative with a solid foundation in sales and relationship management to join our growing team in Utah on the Wasatch Front. In this role, you will focus on identifying and securing new business opportunities by building and nurturing relationships with key influencers and engaging with potential clients at the executive level. (While a background in finance and accounting is not mandatory, it is highly valued for this position.)
To thrive in this role, you should have a strong history of success in lead generation, consistently meeting sales targets, and excellent communication skills for cultivating robust client relationships—from the first point of contact through to closing the deal. A well-established network and experience in high-level B2B engagement are crucial. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional post-sale service. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a competitive base salary plus commission.
Must be based in Utah on the Wasatch Front.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Maintain an average of 20-25 meetings per week, including networking sessions, events, and sales presentations.
- Forge strategic referral partnerships with CPA firms, banks, private equity firms, and other key influencers.
- Drive lead generation through targeted networking and attendance at relevant industry events.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from identifying prospects to closing deals with senior decision-makers.
- Establish and maintain relationships with potential clients, including C-level and Director-level executives.
- Conduct sales meetings with top executives to assess their needs and present customized solutions, demonstrating our service offerings and unique value proposition.
- Collaborate with consulting and partner teams, both locally and nationally, to craft proposals, onboard new clients, and identify opportunities for upselling.
- Coordinate relationship-building initiatives with networking partners, prospects, and internal teams to ensure alignment and create synergies.
- Effectively manage business opportunities, contacts, and activities using Pipedrive.
- Continuously expand your network and deepen relationships with both new and existing clients to maximize retention and growth opportunities.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, or a similar role.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver compelling and persuasive presentations to senior decision-makers.
- Strong ability to build and maintain rapport with clients.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Demonstrated business acumen.
