Join our digital marketing team as a Website Maintenance Specialist and play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the functionality of hundreds of websites and landing pages. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned professionals and contribute to diverse web development initiatives.

Position Responsibilities

  • Execute custom front-end updates across a spectrum of websites, ensuring responsiveness and alignment with client and marketing objectives.
  • Maintain and optimize WordPress sites for peak performance and user experience.
  • Utilize a range of WordPress plugins, such as Advanced Custom Fields and Gravity Forms, to extend site functionality.
  • Perform meticulous quality assurance testing to guarantee website reliability and performance.
  • Work in tandem with the account management team to address varied client requirements
  • Other tasks as required by management

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience of web development, with a strong focus on WordPress, within a marketing agency
  • Expertise in HTML/CSS, with the ability to code from the ground up
  • A foundational understanding of PHP and JavaScript
  • A proactive mindset suited to a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Knowledge of website performance strategies and techniques
  • Experience with file transfer and management protocols such as SFTP
  • Ability to troubleshoot common issues with WordPress sites, such as plugin or theme conflicts
  • Experience with responsive and mobile-first design to ensure that websites function well on various devices and screen sizes

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap and Foundation
  • Proficiency in crafting custom WordPress themes
  • Experience with version control using GIT
  • Prior experience in a digital marketing agency setting
  • An unwavering attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A strong problem-solving mindset with a customer-focused approach
