Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager at The Willows Communications is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods from receipt to distribution. This key leadership role requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping.

• Develops and implements warehouse policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Supervises and trains warehouse staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

• Optimizes warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and improve workflow.

• Conducts regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.

• Collaborates with other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and addresses any logistical challenges.

• Monitors health and safety standards within the warehouse, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.

• Prepares and analyzes reports on warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

• Coordinates with external suppliers and vendors for the procurement of necessary materials and services.

• Manages the budget for warehouse operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation to minimize costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
• Proficient in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices in a warehouse environment.
• Analytical mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of lean management principles and practices is a plus.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
