Full Job Description
As the Vice President of Finance, you will be a key member of our team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the finance function and managing the finance team. You will be expected to provide profit analysis, make recommendations on key business decisions, manage cash flow, and ensure the financial health of our organization. This role also requires a seasoned professional who can manage the financial activities of various LLCs that roll up into the core company, handling complex intercompany relationships and transactions.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy to support long-term growth objectives.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the executive team.
- Intercompany Accounting:
- Oversee the management of intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and maintain accurate intercompany accounts.
- Tax Strategy and Compliance:
- Lead tax planning initiatives to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international tax regulations.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.
- Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to the company.
- Oversee insurance and risk management programs.
- Asset and Investment Management:
- Manage the company’s investment portfolio and assess opportunities to maximize returns.
- Oversee asset management, ensuring proper valuation, utilization, and reporting.
- Financial Operations and Oversight:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team to ensure operational excellence.
- Cash Forecasting Expertise:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage accurate cash flow forecasts, ensuring optimal liquidity and alignment with organizational financial strategies.
Requirements
Education and Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Job Relevant Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including managing intercompany accounting and large financial accounts.
- Strong expertise in tax planning, compliance, and financial reporting.
- Experience with IME and Peer Review services and the Workers’ Compensation Commercial and Government markets is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in risk management, investment management, and asset optimization.
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams.
Job-Related Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems and tools, with experience in Oracle’s Netsuite.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Any lifting, bending, traveling, etc. required to do the job duties listed above. Long periods of sitting and computer work.
