Acentra is looking for a Vice President, Capture Management to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
The Vice President of Capture Management at Acentra Health plays a crucial role in driving the success of our business development initiatives. This strategic position is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities, with a primary focus on government and commercial contracts. The Capture Management team will lead cross-functional teams through the entire capture process, from initial opportunity identification to proposal submission and contract award.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, excellent project management skills, and the ability to craft compelling win strategies that align with client needs and company capabilities. They will also be adept at building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
With a strategic mindset and a results-driven approach, the Vice President of Capture Management will develop and implement effective capture strategies that maximize our win rates and contribute to the growth and success of Acentra Health. This role requires a dynamic leader who can navigate complex environments, manage multiple priorities, and drive business growth through innovative and effective capture management practices.
The position consists of both leading and mentoring the capture management team, but also personally leading highly strategic pursuits as well as collaborating across the growth function to improve processes and drive highly effective growth.
The Vice President of Capture Management is responsible for promoting and instilling the Acentra Health growth culture. As the VP of Capture Management, you will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact in growing the Acentra Health’s brand nationally.
Job Responsibilities:
- Opportunity Identification: In collaboration with the Sales team, identify and qualify new business opportunities within the government and commercial sectors.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement capture strategies, win themes, and value propositions. Conduct competitive analysis and gather intelligence on competitors.
- Client Engagement: In collaboration with the Sales team, establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and subcontractors. Participate in client meetings and presentations.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, proposal writers, and technical staff, to develop comprehensive and compelling proposals.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on capture metrics, including win rates, proposal status, and business development activities, providing regular updates to senior management.
Requirements
- 10-12 years minimum experience in business development, bid management, project or capture management, or related role supporting sales efforts.
- 10 years minimum of healthcare market systems experience.
- Experience with government, preferably state, procurements
- Demonstrated track record of capturing business.
- Industry relationships and experience working with mid-management to C-Level.
- Proven track record of building successful partnerships with a team and focus on understanding how to leverage solution differentiators.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- 4-year college bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 15 years’ experience in Health and Human Services for government agencies, or associated businesses for Health and Human Services programs.
- Knowledge of government health assistance programs, and related core functionality.
- Knowledge of state government healthcare market opportunities and solutions.
