IT Concepts is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support the VHIE Engagement Project Manager, Program Manager, and provide support services including operations management, document management, program planning and quality assurance for program materials. This position requires project management experience, time management, excellent oral and written communication, and strong attention to detail.

Program Overview:

Veterans Health Information Exchange (VHIE) products are used by health care providers to seamlessly, and securely, access the information they need to coordinate Veteran Patient care. Electronic health information exchanges (HIEs) connect health care providers, care facilities, pharmacies, and labs to ensure care teams have the most up-to-date and accurate information to better treat patients. VHIE’s secure exchange system eliminates the need to send paper medical records by mail, or to carry your paper records to appointments with federal health care providers and/or participating external providers. The Engagement team supports adoption of VHIE products at 18 Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs) and 160+ VAMCs and associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) nationwide by providing education, training, and support for the VHIE approved HIE technologies.

Job Description:

As an Engagement Business Analyst, you will: 

  • Provide project and program management support to VHIE Engagement Program Manager and Project Manager
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedule to include all tasks and dependencies associated with Engagement and Coordinator deliverables and education schedules
  • Identify, track, and manage risks and issues
  • Support the development of project status briefings, both recurring and ad hoc for all levels of the program (staff, councils, and senior leaders) as required
  • Coordinate Annual Workplan, Objective and Key Results (OKRs), Project Charters, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Strategic Plans and other adhoc data calls for assigned work teams and initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with other VHIE program sections such as Partner Management, VA Direct, Analytics, Communications and Solutions Management
  • Provides meeting support, including scheduling, preparing agendas, facilitating, capturing meeting minutes, and conducting follow-up on action items
  • Develop project artifacts and maintain in SharePoint
  • Communicate to program stakeholders, as needed
  • Support implementation planning and activities for national deployments, as needed
  • Gain working knowledge of VHIE products, Joint HIE, VHIE Portal, Federal EHR, and VA Direct
  • Ensure program developed deliverables are maintained and delivered with completeness and accuracy; per the deliverable calendar and quality standards
  • Participate in the development and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual status reporting to VHIE leadership per the deliverable calendar

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required or minimum of two years’ experience in health information exchange, health informatics or project management
  • Demonstrated business system analyst experience that includes interfacing with internal and external customers and client relationship management
  • Skilled in Microsoft Suite of Tools (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients and ability to communicate upwards with leadership
  • Strong attention to detail and workplace organization
  • Must be a self-starter; able to work effectively with limited oversight
  • Value teamwork, demonstrate integrity and honesty, are passionate, innovative and strive for excellence 
  • Clearance Required: Must be willing and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

It would be great if you have these as well: ·

  • Experience working directly with Department of Veterans Affairs customers / healthcare providers 
  • Experience with health information exchange technologies or networks
  • Skilled in MS Project, Power BI Reporting, Clinical Informatics
  • Experience with process improvement and strategic planning
