Full Job Description
We’re searching for 2 more dynamic Upstream Manufacturing Scientists to lead mammalian cell culture and bioreactor operations. You’ll be at the forefront of recombinant protein production in a cGMP environment, playing a pivotal role in driving the next phase of growth from 50L to 2000L Manufacturing.
Upstream Manufacturing Scientist - Biologics
Location: On-site, USA - New Jersey
Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Execute mammalian cell culture processes to produce recombinant proteins for Biologics, managing cell culture batches up to 2000l
- Operate bioreactors, establish operating equipment specifications, and enhance manufacturing techniques.
- Collaborate with manufacturing associates and engineers, interpreting and providing instructions effectively.
- Initiate batch records, protocols, and oversee investigations in a cGMP environment to ensure compliance.
- Review and document manufacturing and packaging batch records and related documents, maintaining adherence to safety standards and GMP guidelines.
- Actions as required to support team objectives and compliance with all company policies and standards.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical, biological, or biochemical sciences with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical sector.
- Proficiency in independently planning, executing, analyzing, and documenting all phases of process development.
- Strong foundational knowledge and expertise necessary to manage engineering and clinical batches.
- Previous experience in GMP and aseptic manufacturing settings.
- Familiarity with single-use manufacturing consumables, including bags, tube sets, columns, and process manifolds.
