About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled UI/UX designer for a part-time contract position to contribute to the development of a design library. The project focuses on creating components and templates in Figma that will function as widgets for a Content Management System (CMS). This role requires expertise in design systems, product design, and the ability to create pixel-perfect designs. The project has a completion deadline of September 2024, with various interim milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop components and templates in Figma for a CMS-based design library
- Create approximately three designs for each component, including variations in datapoints, widths, and exclusions
- Ensure pixel-perfect designs with proper alignment, sizing, and consistent spacing
- Implement design best practices, including familiarity with the 8pt grid method
Requirements
- Proven experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work
- Proficiency in Figma
- Expertise in design systems and product design
- Strong understanding of CMS widget functionality and design
- Ability to create pixel-perfect designs with attention to alignment, sizing, and spacing
- Familiarity with the 8pt grid method
