Title: Technical Learning Architect/Instructional Designer
Location: Hybrid / Atlantic City, NJ
Type: 6+ Month Contract
Rate: $Best Possible/ hr.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- The Technical Learning Architect is responsible for creating curricula, learning solutions, and delivery design for learning paths connected to site performance.
- Create training document templates and other learning materials to brand training throughout to standardize learning experience across all regions
- Partners with technical trainers and Operation’s SMEs to assess learning needs learning and structure content that builds desired employee performance capabilities
- Leverage learning technologies such as e-learning course authoring tools, administration of learning management system, and document workflow software to enhance the learning experience as well as create efficiency in the instructional design process.
- Apply evaluation metrics and assess impact to performance vs. objectives across learning programs while establishing ROI and ROE measures to share across multiple levels of leadership.
- Create governance around best practices to support hybrid model to create structure and best practices for technical trainers in the field.
- Manage programs such as Train-the-Trainer, Super User Certification, and other corporate technical implementation initiatives.
- Review and approve changes to materials, owner of the internal document repository for all learning materials.
- Responsible for uploading SCORM compliant eLearning courses in the Learning Management System
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- "This person would definitely take the lead on Manhattan WMOS/Active training materials creation, whether video, elearning, or in-person course design. We are transitioning all of our warehouse sites that currently run WMOS to Active (Cloud) starting in 2026. This year we are transitioning two pilot sites."
- Bachelor degree required
- Master’s Degree in instructional technology, instructional design or any area of study that is similar is preferred.
- 3-5 Years in instructional design and eLearning course authoring experience
- 3-5 years of expertise in clearly defining performance issues and creating appropriate learning solutions with tangible results tied to training efforts.
- Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
- Expertise in learning theories and instructional design models
- Proven track record in needs analysis experience.
- Knowledge of creating training with Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond.
- Proven experience operating Learning Management Systems.
- Visual design skills and ability to storyboard.
- Ability to write compelling copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
- Up to 10% travel is required.
