Tableau Engineer- Fully Remote USA

The Challenge

Joining the Within3 Tableau development team offers a unique opportunity to work with top life science companies, develop complex Tableau reports, and collaborate closely with other teams. You will work to develop new features while ensuring the scalability and performance of Tableau dashboards. Your role will directly influence critical delivery projects and the company's success.

What you can expect from the opportunity

• Develop, conduct unit testing, and maintain complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and reuse.
• Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and implementation. 
• Develop and improve SQL queries. 
• Work with a small team to determine the best implementation to meet the product goals. 
• Work in two-week sprint development cycles.
• Be collaborative in a highly cross-functional environment, working with customer success, data delivery, and product teams. 
• Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of software coding and style guides.
• Resolve support tickets related to Tableau dashboards.

Requirements

What you need to grow and succeed

• 5+ years of proven experience in developing and working with Tableau-driven dashboards and data analytics.
• 5+ years of proven experience in developing and working in SQL environment.
• Proven ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of workbooks. 
• Proven ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.
• Advanced Tableau development skills are required. 
• Working knowledge of Tableau administrator/architecture.
• Working knowledge of user administration/roles/permissions.
• Competency in Excel (using macros, pivot tables, etc.).
• A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management systems, data modeling, and normalization. Snowflake experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and cross-functional team skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
