Radio World is an industry-leading business-to-business publisher serving professionals in radio broadcasting and digital audio media through our website, newsletters, magazine and events. Our focus is on technology, innovation and regulation.
The content producer creates, edits, and deploys content for the website and daily SmartBrief e-newsletter. You will report to the Editor in Chief and work under daily guidance of the editor of Radio World’s SmartBrief. The content producer will also help manage Radio World’s social media presence and other digital assets. They write and edit content about broadcast and audio technology and industry trends. You will also support creation of print issues, digital supplements like ebooks and events as assigned; as well as relevant projects such the NAB Show Daily, Sneak Peeks and the annual Radio World Sourcebook.
What you'll do...
- Create content for daily Radio World SmartBrief newsletter.
- Use best practices to create digital-first content: narrating and hosting videos; host and facilitate fun and interactive live event segments; raise brand awareness; and grow engagement across social media platforms.
- Participate in Future B2B’s Content Accountability Framework and support its efforts in lead generation, industry engagement, commercial intelligence and subscriber health.
- Review, seek out and analyze audience data and research to develop expert understanding of topics and formats most valuable to the target audience.
- Contribute to Radio World print issue content by writing or editing as assigned.
- Use relevant workflow platforms including WordPress, Source, Studio, Alquemie, Google Workspace, Parsley
- Advise editors on content for technology coverage. Maintain relationships with suppliers, potential clients and end-users. Maintain a network of expert sources to inform coverage.
- Execute special projects as assigned including ebooks, events, listings, and Sneak Peek newsletters.
- Perform journalistic research and interviews (which may require travel), and gather images and data.
- Assign projects to contracted freelancers and authors with clear direction and concrete expectations of deliverables, deadlines, quality and audience engagement.
- Represent Future US (Radio World’s parent company) at events and external trade shows, and other industry events and client meetings.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...
- 2+ years in B2B writing, digital, magazine or event content leadership or relevant experience
- Exceptional journalism instincts and skills
- Diligent copy editor and proofreader
- Command of SEO techniques and other digital best practices
- Experience with content management systems
- Knowledge of radio/audio/media tech industry and trends, or open to learning more
- Potential social media and video production experience
