Company Overview:
MavenAGI is on a mission to reimagine enterprise customer experience, starting with support. We believe that today’s support experience is broken: slow and painful for customers, and expensive and human capital intensive for companies.
We are building Maven to deliver better, cheaper support, for both end users and agents. With recent advancements in Generative AI, it is now possible to deliver delightful customer experiences at a fraction of today’s cost.
Team:
Maven has assembled a world-class team of Engineers from Google, Meta, Amazon, and Stripe, and is supported by executives & Advisors from OpenAI, Google, HubSpot, and Stripe.
Position Overview:
As a Staff Engineer and technical lead for Growth and Operations at Maven AGI, your role is pivotal to the scale and efficiency of the software systems and engineering processes through which we deliver value. This position will work alongside our Director of Engineering to ensure our Kubernetes-based platform scales with our growing customer base, and that our CI/CD pipeline is high velocity and resilient. As an AI-first leader, another key responsibility will be integrating our AI solution into our engineering processes and adjacent systems we’ve adopted in marketing, sales, product and of course, customer service.
What You’ll Do:
- Infrastructure Leadership: Lead the design, configuration and deployment of the core infrastructure we use to deliver the product
- Architectural Design: Collaborate across teams to architect our platform and release pipeline for optimal performance, scalability, and reliability
- Security and Privacy: Implement and maintain security and privacy measures, such as data encryption, access controls, and compliance with relevant regulations, throughout the software development lifecycle
- Scripting and coding: Create clean, efficient, and maintainable systems in popular infrastructure-as-code solutions and in languages such as Java, Typescript, and more
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve intricate technical issues to ensure software solutions align with business goals
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Implement unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing to maintain software quality
- Documentation: Produce and update comprehensive documentation for code, software architecture, and development processes
- Code Review: Actively participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements
Who You Are:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience: 7+ years as a software, production and/or infrastructure engineer. Proven experience scaling a complex SaaS system through meaningful growth, preferably in an Enterprise context.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency scaling and capacity planning cloud technologies, including web experiences, database systems and data pipelines for AI
- Proficiency in one or more of Pulumi, Terraform, or similar Infrastructure-as-code solutions
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and an interest in pushing a platform towards GitOps
- Familiarity with one or more of the programming languages we use to build the product (Java + Typescript) and the best practices to deploy and scale them
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
- Data driven: Use information and insights from data to guide decision-making and build the most efficient processes across diverse areas of technology
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for addressing complex technical challenges
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages as necessary
