At Movement Labs, we are committed to driving social and political change by supporting progressive movements and empowering grassroots activists. As a not-for-profit movement incubator, we work with a diverse range of clients, from senior Democratic Congressional leadership to grassroots organizations. We leverage technology and volunteer networks to fill gaps and achieve tangible outcomes that build power for marginalized communities.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Special Projects Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in managing and implementing special initiatives that contribute to our mission and goals. You will work closely with the Special Projects Director and to ensure successful project execution.
Details & Compensation
- Location: Remote | Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, North Carolina, or Georgia preferred but not required. This role may require travel.
- Start Date: ASAP
- Compensation: $70,000-80,000, depending on experience
- Benefits: Movement Labs employees receive excellent health, dental, and vision benefits, 401k, work-from-home stipends, and unlimited Paid Time Off. This position does not qualify as a bargaining unit position.
Duration: This is a full-time, exempt position through November 15, 2024.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee special projects from initiation to completion
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery
- Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations
- Monitor project progress and identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Track and report project metrics and outcomes
- Communicate project updates and status to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Relentlessly pursuing a Biden victory in 2024
- Proven experience or understanding of project management
- Strong personal organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you will be working closely with our Digital team to execute on hybrid projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
- Proficiency in various software platforms - Asana, Google, Texting tools
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
What you'll be doing:
- Learning about paid media and digital ad targeting alongside our Digital team
- Collaborating with our tech team to build high-tech tools
- Coordinating high-impact persuasive SMS, phone calls, and/or mail campaigns
- Organizing coalition partners to participate in our programs
- Thinking through unique strategies and messaging approaches to persuade voters
