About the Role:
We are looking for a Solutions Consultant to join our team in leading the initiative in facilitating and developing strategic solutions that are essential to the continued growth and success of our Government Solutions team, known as CITIZ3N. The Solutions Consultant will act as the point of contact for existing and prospective customers in requirement planning, traceability, review, and monitoring the SDLC lifecycle of Softheon’s government solutions. In this role, you will propose ways to improve Softheon’s efficiency by facilitating the strategic solution selling efforts that are essential to our continued growth and success. Using leadership skills, technical expertise, and detailed knowledge of the Softheon platform, you will partner with sales, leadership and account owners in initial opportunity discovery and qualification, presenting solutions and value proposition to prospects and clients, while teaming up with marketing on content development and campaign support and also the product team and client executives on pre- and post-sale engagement to ensure the right resources are involved at the right time. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting our existing clients through guiding them through requirements and by taking ownership in configuring and, at times, releasing the product for testing.
Success as a Solutions Consultant at Softheon requires confidence, independent action, initiative, a sense of urgency, and the ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them. Requirements
You Will:
Client Implementation & Deployment:
- Lead client implementations, either individually or as part of a team.
- Deploy, configure, and test the solution based on client and solution requirements.
- Work cross-functionally to build out new client environments, including the extensive configuration of the model, QA, and production environments using Softheon’s internal configuration management system, Switchboard.
- Validate software, workflow, hardware, and implementation fit with standard Softheon SaaS and BPaaS solutions.
- Develop a high-level gap analysis and initial scope of work.
Requirement Gathering & Planning:
- Lead requirement discovery sessions for Government Solutions business unit planning.
- Create, manage, and execute JAD requirement gathering activities side-by-side with sales leadership and account owners.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner with other internal teams, including but not limited to Product Management, PMO, Sales, Client Executives, IT, DevOps, and Marketing, for the purpose of defining goals collaboratively.
- Support Client Executives in addressing all-client impacting issues and initiatives, typically through coordinating communication and acceptance of deployments.
- Attend and present/demo at prospect and customer meetings and internal sessions in collaboration with other functions, as necessary.
Product & Industry Expertise:
- Evaluate data formulated in conjunction with the Product Team and apply the results in influencing the direction that other product teams take as well as informing decisions of the business.
- Take initiative in ensuring products that interact with each other are properly built out by coordinating discussions and design sessions with the correlated teams.
- Influence product development and enhancements using gathered intelligence to enhance internal practices and processes, achieving genuine sales development.
- Research and document new, improved products and innovation within the industry.
- Understand the healthcare IT “ecosystem” and basics of administrative and financial workflows and transaction processing.
Additional Requirements:
- Up to 25% travel as needed may be required.
- ET working hours required (9am-6pm ET).
- Must be willing to complete AZ-900 certification within 1 year of hire, if not already certified.
You Have:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, and/or a related field required.
- AZ-900 certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in a pre-sales, client-facing, technical, or healthcare (within the exchange or payer space) role required.
- Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in the US healthcare industry working with government agencies, health plans and TPAs as a service provider, software provider, or consultant required.
Skills:
- Experience and understanding of best practices with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint applications.
- Faster-than-average pace; ability to learn quickly, thoroughly, and in detail.
- Setting and achieving specific standards for self and for others; an emphasis on schedule and quality.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the US healthcare industry, particularly working with government agencies, health plans and TPAs.
- Understanding of financial and technical aspects within a healthcare or related context.
Attributes:

Salary - $82,000-$93,000
