Acentra seeks a Software Quality Assurance Director to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Software Quality Assurance Director plays a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of software products within Acentra Health's high-volume healthcare data systems. This position is responsible for leading the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) team, ensuring the delivery of zero-defect production environments, and continuously improving quality processes. The Director is a key member of the SQA Leadership Team and works closely with the VP of Software Quality Assurance to meet and exceed business objectives aligned with quality program delivery. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic oversight, and a commitment to innovation in software quality assurance practices within a 24/7/365 operational environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Software Quality Assurance team, ensuring accountability for deliverables, customer relationships, and overall test execution strategies
  • Oversee the entire Software Quality Assurance process, providing strategic direction across all programs and leading by metrics to deliver quality projects on time and within scope
  • Develop and manage traceable test plans and scripts using industry best practices and a reusable framework, ensuring systematic improvements in quality assurance
  • Approve requirements and mitigation plans to address scope, schedule, and financial risks, ensuring alignment with quality standards and project objectives
  • Drive innovation within the SQA program, with a focus on automation and alignment with industry standards
  • Lead transformation and change management initiatives that align with Acentra Health's overall business strategy
  • Interface with senior management, providing insights, recommendations, and industry best practices to improve quality assurance outcomes
  • Oversee the SQA budget, including forecasting, monitoring, and approvals, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Manage complex internal and external customer relationships, ensuring long-term value and adherence to Acentra Health’s CMMI standards and processes
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a highly skilled SQA team, ensuring performance metrics align with business objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field
  • 10+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience
  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience in large, complex organizations
  • Experience with Software Quality Assurance software (e.g., Rational Quality Manager, HP Quality Center)
  • Hands-on experience in test automation and the design and implementation of automation frameworks
  • Experience with QA and SQA methodologies in both waterfall and agile software development life cycles
  • Strong understanding of ITIL and CMMI process models
  • Understanding of the SDLC and STLC
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to all levels of the organization
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in Medicare, Medicaid, or other healthcare verticals
  • Test Manager certification
  • Proficient in data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Cognos Analytics)

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $120,420.00 - $167,300.00 per year

“Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant’s placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.”
