Full Job Description
Quality Assurance Stack:
We use TestRail for test management, Jira for bug tracking, and Reflect.run, Percy.io, and Cypress for automated end-to-end web testing.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Design, Product & Engineering teams throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) to understand feature requirements, provide quality assurance perspective, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust release testing process for the bi-weekly release schedule. This includes activities such as requirement and design analysis, test planning, test case creation, test execution, defect management, regression testing, and post-release monitoring.
- Maintain and optimize QA tools and processes (such as TestRail and Reflect.run) to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing efforts.
- Conduct regular reviews of monitoring tools like Sentry, Mixpanel, and FullStory to identify issues, perform RCA, and participate in debugging and resolution activities.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and maintain a roadmap for testing automations (e.g. Cypress) to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
- Perform exploratory testing to identify potential issues and provide feedback on user experience and usability.
- Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the quality assurance domain to continuously improve Koda's quality assurance processes.
- Actively participate in agile development processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a manual software tester
- Experience with QA at a venture-backed software company
- Fluent in English
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
- Strong proficiency in software testing methodologies and techniques
