About the Role
We are seeking a social media manager for a client on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for a creative and strategic thinker who is passionate about politics and experienced in digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content (text, images, and video) across social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Campaign Strategy: Work closely with the campaign team to develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with campaign goals and messaging.
- Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive community around the campaign.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyse social media performance metrics, providing regular reports to the campaign team and suggesting improvements based on data insights.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all social media content aligns with the campaign’s branding, tone, and message.
- Audience Growth: Develop strategies to grow the campaign’s social media following and engagement, targeting key demographics and potential voters.
- Event Promotion: Coordinate the promotion of campaign events and appearances through social media, ensuring maximum visibility and attendance.
- Advertising: Assist in creating and managing paid social media advertising campaigns, optimizing for reach, engagement, and conversions.
- Crisis Management: Quickly address any negative feedback or crises that may arise on social media, working with the campaign team to manage public perception.
Requirements
- Proven experience in social media management, preferably in a political or campaign setting.
- Strong understanding of current social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for creating compelling content.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.) and analytics platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for political campaigns and an understanding of the political landscape in Oklahoma.
