The Social Media Intern will play a vital role in sharing Sam’s mission, connecting with our community, and expanding our reach across social media platforms. You’ll work closely with our marketing team to create and curate content that resonates with women navigating life’s transitions. This is an unpaid, part-time internship (approx. 15-20 hours per week) that offers valuable hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, and community engagement.
About the Position
As the Social Media Intern, you’ll be integral to bringing Sam’s mission to life online. You will develop content that embodies Sam’s voice, highlights our expert resources, and engages our audience in a meaningful way. Collaborating across teams, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to Sam’s marketing strategies and engage with our growing community of women. We’re looking for a creative, self-motivated intern eager to make a difference and build their social media expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Design and schedule engaging posts across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook that reflect Sam’s brand and mission.
- Community Engagement: Interact with followers, reply to comments, and foster a supportive community space.
- Campaign Support: Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns to build awareness and engagement.
- Research & Trend Spotting: Stay updated on social media trends, particularly those in women’s wellness, lifestyle, and community support.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor performance metrics, provide insights on post engagement, and suggest optimizations.

Who You Are
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experienced or passionate about social media, digital marketing, and Sam’s mission to support women.
- Strong written communication skills with an eye for detail and a warm, inclusive tone.
- Proactive, creative, and able to manage tasks independently in a remote team.
- Knowledge of social media tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite) and design platforms like Canva.
- Bonus points if you’re familiar with analytics tools like Google Analytics or Facebook Insights.
