About the Role

Our client is seeking a web development consultant with a focus on jQuery and ASP.NET MVC. This role is remote, but candidates preferred to work West Coast hours. The opportunity is with a fast-growing SaaS company that is changing the way communities in the financial sector work together. The ideal candidate is a strong technologist comfortable with a range of web technologies and willing to work with existing jQuery, CSS, and ASP.NET MVC applications. This is a contractual role expected to be full-time for a 1-year mandate, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and implementation of client-facing products with a focus on performance, usability, and accessibility.
• Adapt to and work with a broad range of technologies.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and other groups within the organization in a remote-first environment.
• Be involved in projects all the way to production, receiving tasks and assignments from the team’s lead.
• Take inspiration from existing practices, following the team’s patterns with a focus on velocity.

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and vanilla CSS.
• Experience with GitHub.
• Strong knowledge of jQuery, C#, and ASP.NET.
• Familiarity with jQuery Widgets, Razor Templates, Bootstrap CSS, and FullCalendar.
• Experience working in a Windows Environment.
• 8+ years of experience in web development.
• Good understanding of application and system design, capable of diving into large and complex codebases, including legacy ones.
• Comfortable with reusing existing patterns, tools, and libraries and adapting to an existing environment.
