About the Role

Our client is seeking a senior web developer with extensive experience in Ruby on Rails to join their team on a full-time, long-term contract basis. The selected candidate will work remotely and be responsible for various web development tasks. The client is looking for an immediate start.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications using Ruby on Rails framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and stakeholders, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement robust and scalable backend systems, including database design, API development, and integration with third-party services.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices and industry standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a senior web developer, with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails.
• Proficient in Ruby programming language, Ruby on Rails framework, and associated technologies (e.g., ActiveRecord, RSpec, Sidekiq).
• Expertise in building and consuming APIs, working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), and implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
