As Senior Vice President, Sports Practice Co-Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Practice Leadership: Define the vision, strategy and objectives for the sports practice group alongside your co-practice lead.
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead sports strategic planning and programming across the agency, from articulating sponsorship/integration opportunities to developing and activating go-to-market strategies across our client portfolio.  
  • Business Development: Lead business development, identifying and pursuing new business and incremental/upsell opportunities leveraging existing networks and relationships to expand Praytell’s roster of sports clients.
  • Client Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to key sports clients, delivering strategic, integrated solutions that drive business outcomes. Serve as a category expert for Praytell clients considering sports programming or partnerships, contributing to strategy, ideas and plans as needed. 
  • Team Development: Nurture talent, mentor and develop team members, and provide guidance, training, mentorship and growth opportunities.
  • Client Retention: Ensure long-term partnerships with our sports clients by maintaining high client satisfaction, proactively addressing client needs, anticipating challenges, delivering exceptional results and demonstrating the value of our offerings.
  • Practice Health: Oversee accounts budgets, scopes, contracts, staffing, utilization and profitability across the sports practice.

Requirements

Experience you have:

  • You have 15+ years of experience in PR/integrated comms experience in an agency environment. Sports experience is a must!
  • You’ve worked with a portfolio of sports brands and have experience leading large accounts in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment. You're familiar with working in an IAT model, with other PR, marketing and advertising partners.
  • You deeply understand and can activate sports PR - you have an extremely solid understanding of the sports industry, how to best connect clients with opportunities across various budget levels, and how to develop and activate go-to-market strategies for seasoned sports brands or those new to the industry.  
  • You're comfortable interfacing with senior/C-suite clients and collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver great work,and  leaning on your sports expertise to provide well-informed recommendations.
  • You have a penchant for new business with a proven history of effectively cultivating and securing new clients.
  • You're comfortable managing budgets, scopes, staffing, utilization and profitability across your accounts.
  • You’re a people manager and know how to empower teams to do their best work.

  • Salary Range: $165,000 - $225,000 (The actual compensation amount paid may vary and will be determined based on factors including the applicant's experience, expertise, skills and abilities.)
