This short-term, remote position requires quick turnaround and offers the opportunity to contribute to a potentially impactful musical piece.
Responsibilities:
- Create compelling, emotive lyrics that fit the existing melody and rhythm
- Capture the essence and style of Whitney Houston's ballads in the lyrical content
- Ensure the lyrics complement the musical composition effectively
- Collaborate remotely to understand their vision and preferences
Requirements
- Native English speaker with senior or expert-level experience in songwriting
- Proven track record of writing successful lyrics, particularly in the ballad genre
- Deep understanding of Whitney Houston's lyrical style and themes
- Ability to write emotionally resonant and commercially viable lyrics
- Excellent grasp of English language, including metaphors, wordplay, and poetic devices
