Senior Software Engineer - Front End

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to join a motivated, high-performing, and product-minded engineering team! 

A successful candidate will enhance our product line by contributing across our application stacks, ensuring the delivery's quality, and maintaining our commitment to providing real-time insights from error and development data generated by thousands of applications.

We believe small autonomous and remote teams are the most effective way to move faster and build dynamic systems. Our architecture and workflows are focused on an array of Python and JavaScript applications running on Google Cloud Platform in a highly agile culture.

Our highly skilled application development team works in Python, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React in a composition of web applications, APIs, pipeline workers, and ETLs.

Requirements

Location

• Position is remote in the following USA States: Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Washington
• Proof of residency in one of the states listed is required

Responsibilities

• Add and update product features and implement front end solutions
• Code and maintain our applications
• Write documentation and technical specifications on the solutions you build
• Work with a inclusive, fast-paced, collaborative group of engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver company initiatives and projects

Required Skills

• 6+ years experience as a software engineer
• 4+ years experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and React, Vue, or similar frameworks
• 4+ years of experience with Node.js
• 2+ years experience with relational like MySQL or PostgreSQL & non-relational databases and their integration with applications

Desired Skills

• Open source experience as a maintainer/core contributor of open source projects
• Experience with Next.js, GraphQL, Tailwind
• Experience with Python, Ruby,  or a similar programming language
• Experience with Google Cloud
• Experience with Rollbar in your personal or professional projects
• A deep understanding of the things you work with, and ways to make them better

Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000
