Core Responsibilities
- Work with Risk and Underwriting teams to implement and execute strategies that reduce or prevent fraudulent activities and credit and fraud losses while understanding the impacts of the decisions on customers, employees, and the company in the short and long term.
- Perform deep credit and fraud analysis on merchant processing activity, ACH reject activity, financials, and/or profiles to assess and mitigate risk
- Identify opportunities to enhance risk management operations on a day-to-day basis
- Perform risk reviews based on daily activity or periodic cadences
- Review risk losses on a monthly basis across all channels with the goal of adjusting the approach based on findings
- Coach and mentor teams at Gravity, and external clients relating to risk operations and best practices
- Manage parameters across the portfolio to ensure a smooth merchant experience while limiting Gravity’s financial risk exposure
- Develop an understanding of our portfolio and the unique client and industry patterns, adjusting policies and reviews accordingly
- Interact with merchants, Sales teams, Customer Facing Teams, and Underwriting teams to solve risk-related issues collaboratively and with a sense of urgency
- Identify trends and conduct root-cause analysis to isolate key performance drivers.
- Creatively problem-solve complex and difficult situations with merchants and partners, corresponding over the phone or in writing to find mutually desired solutions
- Utilize data manipulation and quantitative analysis to manage credit risk exposure across a large portfolio

- 5-10 years of previous Risk Analyst experience in the payments industry
- Experience with Risk at an ISO and/or working with Fiserv/First Data
- Knowledge of card brand and processor rules
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members
- Demonstrated success in finding creative solutions
- Ability to analyze risk, make a recommendation, developing and executing on plans
- AML, KYC, KYB, PCI knowledge and experience
- ACH, Payment facilitation exposure
- Credit Risk Exposure, contract analysis, and Financial statement analysis (periodic reviews)
- Ability to be critically open-minded, mitigate risk, and understand tolerance.
- Experience in filing SARs
- Being practiced in ancillary activities such as liens, collections, and chargebacks is a plus
Technical requirements:
- Must have access to a wired internet connection
- Must have access to at least a 25 megabits per second (mbps) download and 20 (mbps) upload speed connection

The salary for this position is $70,000 - $95,000. We may be open to negotiating outside of this range if the desired salary aligns with the needs of the candidate and company.
