Senior POS Engineer

Requirements

In this role, you will:

• 4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience 8 or more years of software development experience working with mission critical POS systems 

•  Strong experience working with the various POS systems 

• Experience with Java, Python, HTML/CSS, PhP or JavaScript.  

• Extensive experience consuming SOAP/REST web services.  

• Experience in Azure cloud technologies and DEVOPS practices is preferred  

• Strong understanding of how to develop applications with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and maintainability  

• Experience working in an agile environment  

• Experience developing solutions that span multiple hosting environments (on-prem, public cloud, PaaS, and SaaS) is preferred  

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a proven ability to create innovative solutions  

• Ability to effectively communicate information to key stakeholders at all levels within the organization in both written and verbal forms 

• Possess knowledge on Hardware technology and software applications such as TCx 700 POS system, SurePos ACE, TCx Sky Operating System, Aloha, NCR, Verifone and Ingenico POS Systems; Self-Checkout Pin Pads, EMV/Credit/ Debit/WIC/ EBT/ EFT/ Gift Card, Apple Pay; Contactless technologies, Loyalty card technologies, Dresser Wayne & Gilbarco Fuel Systems
