Full Job Description
Brief Description:
Functions independently to carry out various methods of testing, to test application/infrastructure
changes and correlate them to the business solution; or to support QA test environments.
Tests software to ensure proper operation and eliminate defects.
Uses current process and tools in the creation and execution of test plans and test cases.
Documents and works to resolve problems and reports progress on problem resolution to management.
Understanding of QA methodology and how it fits into the Software Delivery Lifecycle.
Analyses possible solutions using standard procedures.
Ensures adherence to project management processes and documentation standards
Specific job duties:
Ability to function independently to analyse requirements, create test plans, test cases, and
complex test data along with execution, documentation and follow up on results; and/or
support QA environments.
Take on cross-functional assignments and multiple concurrent assignments.
Ability to coordinate QA efforts on small to medium project efforts and special assignments as
needed.
Ability to analyse, assess, document and resolve cross-functional issues and work.
Expanded ability and knowledge to use of tools and technology.
Good understanding of the technical details of the application/infrastructure they use/support
and correlation of the application/infrastructure to the business solution.
Within scope of assignments, establishes and maintains thorough and accurate documentation
of work and communicates issues to Team lead
Ability to understand business processes and integration of those processes into the systems to
ensure complete end to end testing of software
Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong time management skills, ability to work
well in a diverse environment.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, or 5 – 8 years of relevant experience
Understanding of software development methodology
Knowledge of basic tools and technology used for software testing
Experience writing and understanding SQL queries
Critical thinker and problem solver
High attention to detail
Self-motivated and highly driven

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly and solve problems

Knowledge of automated test tools and/or programming languages helpful
