About the Role:
Do you get excited about working with data and finding meaningful insights in a dataset? Are you someone who is passionate about building processes and answering questions from a messy dataset? At STAT Recovery, our Analytics team is made up of driven, ambitious Financial Data Analysts and Senior Financial Data Analysts who drive substantial value for our clients by becoming experts in their data through hands-on analysis. We build processes and automation to streamline our efforts, and we’re excited by growing our technical skills and learning from each other. What You’ll Do:
- Perform detailed data analysis on client financial transaction data to identify deduction recovery opportunities and follow-up to ensure completion
- Perform technical analysis to identify data anomalies and research root causes, using various technologies
- Synthesize insights and develop visual reports to clearly and simply communicate with clients what the data is saying
- Develop repeatable workflows to automate data cleansing and calculation steps
- Identify new opportunities for analysis and value-add services, and develop prototype solutions
- Lead internal technical learning sessions on specific topics
- Work with subject matter experts and further document the Retail processes that produce our clients’ data
- Contribute to shaping the strategic priorities of the Analytics function and lead projects to complete those priorities
- Develop and execute personal learning objectives to continuously expand technical skillset
- No outside sales responsibilities are required of the Financial Data Analyst
Requirements
Who You Are:
- 4+ years of financial analysis, financial modeling and analytic process experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, relevant work experience is considered
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as the job has a heavy analytical component
- Advanced skills in MS Excel
- Flexible and eager to take on different tasks and challenges as they come up

Bonus Points:
- Experience with SQL, Alteryx or KNIME
- Experience executing and delivering on strategic initiatives for your organization
- Experience in Retail supplier transactions, Purchase Order lifecycles, deduction management
- Former client service background in a professional services environment is a plus
