Role Specifics
The role we’re looking to fill: Senior Financial Data Analyst
We're seeking a results-driven Senior Finance Data Analyst to be a critical partner to the Finance team and wider organization, providing data-driven insights to guide strategic decision-making. You'll leverage your SQL expertise to analyze and interpret financial and operational data, helping us identify growth opportunities, improve customer retention, and optimize pricing. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for leveraging data to drive business impact in the SaaS space.
Compensation Range: $122,000 to $164,000
Location: Remote US or our San Francisco office
What you will do:
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Help to maintain financial models to forecast key metrics and to support planning and investment decisions.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop clear and insightful reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate complex financial data to stakeholders across the organization.
- SaaS Metrics Analysis: Deep-dive into key SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, churn, LTV, CAC) to uncover trends, understand drivers, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- SQL Expertise: Leverage your SQL skills to extract, transform, and analyze data from our various systems.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product and Growth teams to define and track key metrics, share insights, and drive data-driven decision-making across the company.
- Customer Acquisition & Retention Analysis: Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, identify high-value customer segments, and develop strategies to reduce churn.
- Pricing & Revenue Optimization: Analyze pricing models, customer segments, and usage patterns to optimize pricing strategies and maximize revenue generation.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, ideally in the SaaS industry.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL (required), strong Excel/Google Sheets financial modeling skills, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Omni, Looker, etc).
- SaaS Knowledge: Understanding of key SaaS metrics and business models.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and presentation abilities, ability to work independently and take initiative, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
- Self Starter: Comfortable working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
