Requirements

You are a challenge-driven individual with 8+ years of experience in production environments across software development, applications, and infrastructure. You’re excited to join a lean, modern company and play a key role in building a world-class platform.

• Architecting, designing, automating, implementing, and supporting infrastructure and processes to securely monitor, manage and update our systems.
• Serving as a subject-matter expert on specific technologies while also cross-training other team members to back-fill you when you are not available.
• Enhancing team processes through strong collaboration and clear documentation.
• Being cheerful and having fun.

As an amazing SRE, you:

• Have strong experience in software development, programming, and scripting, and also like to deal with how the platform and infrastructure are put together.
• Adapt quickly and are eager to learn new technologies.
• Understand application stacks and modern app development, particularly how they’re structured, built, and deployed using containers and continuous delivery processes like a 12factor.net app.
• Are highly experienced with Linux infrastructure, networking, Docker containers, and cloud platforms.
• Bring several years of software development experience.
• Are comfortable managing switches, databases, web technologies, and virtualization.
• Have a solid grasp of security concerns and authentication models.
• Thrive on automating everything.
• Understand that in a startup, we often wear multiple hats.
• Think like an Architect, work as an Engineer, and enjoy the problem-solving challenges of Operations.

• Recognize your knowledge gaps and quickly learn what’s needed.
• Enjoy collaborating, stand by your ideas, and clearly explain your reasoning, even if your approach isn’t the one ultimately chosen.

We understand that candidates bring a variety of experiences, and the ability to learn quickly is what matters most. However, proficiency in some of the following technologies is a plus:

• Programming in Python
• Linux systems (Redhat/Rocky/CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, Alpine, SONiC)
• Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, or others)
• Networking (L1-L3), Sockets, Traffic Routing, Load Balancing, VXLAN
• Cloud offerings (AWS, or others)
• Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) systems (Jenkins, Circle, CodeShip, etc)
• Agile task management tools (Jira, Trello) with Kanban or Scrum
• Automation/Orchestration tools (Salt, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
• Open Compute Project (OCP) hardware and NVIDIA DGX hardware
