Protera is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Cloud Architect with a focus on Azure Migration to join our growing team. The successful candidate will possess expertise in Microsoft Azure and on-premises workload migration, with a deep understanding of Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and dependency mapping to set up migration move groups to Azure. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping our customers modernize and optimize their IT infrastructure through seamless and efficient cloud migration.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to develop a deep understanding of their existing on-premises infrastructure, applications, and business requirements, and recommend the optimal migration strategy to Azure.
• Leverage Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) to provide best practices, guidance, and tools for cloud adoption and migration, ensuring alignment with customers' business and technical goals.
• Architect, design, and implement complex, large-scale migration solutions using Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
• Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for migration, including Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Database Migration Service, and third-party tools.
• Utilize dependency mapping techniques and tools to identify and group interdependent workloads, applications, and services, enabling the creation of efficient migration move groups to Azure.
• Assess clients' workloads for cloud readiness and recommend application refactoring or modernization where necessary to improve performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in the Azure cloud.
• Develop comprehensive documentation and migration roadmaps that outline the end-to-end migration process, including resource planning, timeline, and milestones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and product owners, to ensure smooth migration and integration of workloads, applications, and data.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and support to clients during the migration process, ensuring a smooth and successful transition to Azure with minimal business disruption.
• Continuously stay up-to-date on emerging Azure technologies, best practices, and trends to provide effective and innovative solutions to our clients.
• Act as a subject matter expert within the company and engage in knowledge-sharing activities, presentations, and workshops.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud computing, with at least 6 years specifically focused on Microsoft Azure architecture and solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in leading successful large-scale Azure migration projects, migrating on-premises workloads to Azure cloud.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and its application in real-world scenarios.
• Strong understanding of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as C#, Python, Java, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management tools, such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification (AZ-305) or equivalent is preferred.
