Become an essential part of our team as an Applications Engineer, leveraging your expertise to provide technical support and solutions to our clients in the Wire and Cable industry. Your role will focus on enhancing customer satisfaction through technical consultation, product development, and strategic market expansion.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers, helping them select and apply our wire and cable products effectively.
Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to understand their needs, conduct product presentations, and offer customized solutions.
Product Development: Collaborate with Engineering and Sales teams to source and develop new products and improve existing ones based on customer feedback and market demands.
Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, identify market opportunities, and provide insights to support business growth.
Sales Support: Assist the sales team with technical expertise during the sales process, including preparing detailed proposals and negotiating technical aspects of contracts.
Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams on product applications and technical aspects.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that our products meet high-quality standards and resolve any technical issues that arise in the field.
Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and gather market intelligence.
Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: At least 8 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role within the wire and cable industry.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of wire and cable products, applications, and industry standards.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems effectively.
Customer Focus: Strong customer orientation with a commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and marketing.
Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) certification or other relevant industry certifications.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems, CAD software, and other technical tools used in the industry.
Leadership Skills: Experience in leading technical projects or teams is desirable.
