POSITION OVERVIEW

Stream Datacenters (SDC) Corporate Security is seeking a highly talented and experienced Security Systems Technician II to join our team. The Security Systems Technician will maintain, manage, and provide support for All Stream Data Center-owned electronic security systems. The SDC Corporate Security Department works closely with SDC IT to specify, purchase, configure, and maintain our electronic security and network equipment.  SDC’s Corporate Security Department also works closely with our Security VARs to learn  about  the  latest  technology changes  so  that  we  can  make  informed purchase decisions to determine the best balance between technology, performance, and cost.

This is a remote role; however, candidates must be located in one of the following areas: Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL; or Goodyear, AZ.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshooting & Triage of Support Requests for all Stream DC locations
  • Lifecycle Management of Support Requests from onsite Security and Operations personnel
  • In-Bound call management of all critical ACS, VMS and Security system issues
  • Support Security Commissioning initiatives in-person and remotely.
  • Documentation management of all current security policies and assisting development of procedures for full Security system programming (Software Installation & Application Level) of ACS, VMS, and other Security related applications
  • Security system programming for new and existing Data Center projects.
  • Field installation verification of security equipment for new builds.
  • Support of Security Platform Upgrades to include collaboration with Stream IT, Stream Security VARs and manufacture’s pro-services.
  • Provide critical security systems support for all SDC locations.
  • Assist SDC Security Technicians with project management deliverables for all security system installations and upgrades.
  • Monitor and maintain existing SDC Security systems to ensure that all customer's security needs are met and functional with maximum uptime.
  • Generate system reports as needed for SDC audits and as required by customers and internal SDC needs.
  • Lifecycle management of all physical security system devices.
  • Retrieve video footage as requested or required for legal, law enforcement, or operational review.
  • Assist in managing all security-related vendors for installations, ongoing service, and repairs to ensure timelines are met.
  • Document all critical evolutions and lessons learned and find possible efficiency gains in processes.
  • Support and monitor security vendor activities ensuring work activities meet the scope of work and follow established procedures.
  • Assist in developing and implement SDC Security Systems End User Training Documents and Videos.
  • Provide remote commissioning support for the Senior Security Systems Technician and SDC Construction Team Members.
  • Provide support to SDC Compliance for SOC2 and PCI auditing initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ Years of Physical Security Technology industry experience. 
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3+ years relatable experience. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Access Control and CCTV monitoring systems software and hardware.  
  • Basic knowledge of intercom systems. 
  • Basic knowledge of electronic Key Systems management applications.  
  • Basic knowledge of networks and Windows server machines. 
  • General knowledge of utilizing ticketing systems for tracking and triaging of support issues. 
  • General Computer Skills (MS Office and Outlook) 
  • Basic knowledge and experience with BIM360, Auto CAD, Bluebeam and Construction Management software. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals regarding physical security standards and system designs. 
  • Ability to read construction drawings, wiring schematics, and troubleshooting documents. 
  • Able to plan, organize, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally with team members and externally with vendors and other service providers.   
  • Travel is expected to be approximately 30%. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ Years of Datacenter Security, Construction, or Operations experience preferred. 
  • Basic project management skills preferred. 
  • LenelS2 Certification preferred. 
  • Milestone VMS Certification preferred. 
  • PSP Certification or any ASIS Certifications preferred. 

The pay range for this role is between $95,000- $105,000 (base). Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related reasons. Stream Data Centers offers annual bonus, benefits, flexible time off (vacation), 401k and a variety of other perks and benefits.
