Full Job Description
Cairn Partners is looking for an experienced Sales Trainer for our growing team of Advance Planners nationwide. The Sales Trainer equips new agents with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to successfully educate the community about the benefits of prearranging and guide customers to make end of life decisions in advance. The Sales Trainer will work with both new Advance Planners with little to no experience and veteran Advance Planners with extensive expertise. Cairn has a proven Training Platform in place. The Sales Trainer will utilize the existing platform and make changes to the platform to enhance and improve future training.
Specific Duties include:
- Conduct orientation to sales processes
- Train and coach on all sales presentation activities
- Continue to develop and present onboarding and ongoing training programs by conducting in-person or virtual training sessions
- Collaborate with Partners throughout the training period
- Continual assessment of success and areas of improvement for the training program using performance management tools and reporting
- Assess the Advance Planner in real-life selling situations in person, on the phone and virtually.
- Collect data to make suggestions to ensure training and training materials support the team’s initiatives and key performance indicators
- Continue to hone training skills and the knowledge of company products and programs
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of successful experience in Sales and Sales Training
- Minimum 2 years cemetery and funeral sales experience preferred
- Must hold an active Resident Life Insurance License or have the ability to obtain one
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess a positive and caring attitude
- Organization: coordination and planning of tasks and activities
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Analytical ability: to track the success of training and to develop contingencies when applicable
- Understanding of training, teaching, and communication models or concepts
- Problem analysis and problem resolution
- Attention to detail
- Computer proficiency, familiar with Microsoft 365
- Flexibility for domestic travel
