Revenue Recognition Accountant
We are currently seeking a Revenue Recognition Accountant where you will play a critical role in the revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Review revenue contracts and identify key terms and conditions
- Billing Management using your experience in Construction or Renewable Energy industries
- Analyze revenue arrangements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
- Cash Management: Forecast collections and timing based on billings.
- Prepare revenue journal entries and reconciliations
- Conduct B2B Collections Calls.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards
- Assist in the development and implementation of revenue recognition policies and procedures
- Support month-end and year-end close processes related to revenue recognition
- Provide guidance and training to team members on revenue recognition matters
Requirements
- Construction or Renewable Energy industry experience is a MUST
- Project Billing
- B2B Collections
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue recognition or related accounting roles
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and other relevant revenue recognition standards
- Experience with revenue recognition software and tools.
A Plus if you have Acumatica or Construction project software experience
Benefits
$50- $70/hr DOE
