Role Overview:
Are you a storyteller with numbers? At World of Good Brands, we are looking to develop meaningful audience stories that differentiate our properties in the marketplace. The Research Analyst will spearhead this effort on a day-to-day basis identifying compelling stories within our rich audience data and synthesizing syndicated reporting. The ideal candidate will have a background working with cross-functional departments—including sales and marketing teams— to understand business needs and experience translating those needs into data-driven responses.
This is a remote position based on the East Coast, reporting into the Executive Director, Insights Strategy.
What You'll Do:
- Support the Sales team with research and analytics, including but not limited to audience data, site metrics, marketplace research and internal consumption data
- Refine competitive positioning of WGB properties relative to other media properties and develop actionable insights to help inform general presentations, category stories, and ongoing proposals
- Contribute knowledge of the marketplace to aid in developing a competitive ad sales research strategy
- Partner with Executive Director to assist in executing category research with WGB audience to support sales and marketing efforts
- Work with Executive Director to translate existing research into materials for the sales organization
- Maintain all audience reference materials on a quarterly basis
Requirements
- 2-4 years' experience in a research/data role, ideally supporting a sales organization at a media publisher
- Good knowledge of the digital media landscape and research specific to the industry
- Good understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodology
- Experience working with data types across site, social, affiliate/commerce, and experiential
- Deep knowledge of tools, such as Comscore, Quantcast, and Google Analytics
- Familiarity with brand study offerings such as Nielsen Brand Lift and Lucid Impact Measurement a plus (but not required)

Compensation:
The starting base pay for this role is between USD $65,000 and USD $75,000, plus commission. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, and other perks.
