Full Job Description
Our Home is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Safety Manager to join our team. As a Regional Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees across our multiple manufacturing facilities. You will develop and implement safety programs, enforce compliance with safety regulations, conduct training, and lead investigations in case of incidents. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures across the region.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Provide safety training to employees across all levels of the organization.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards.
- Track and analyze safety data to identify trends and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement safety improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of safety programs and initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in safety management.
- Development of reports pertaining to all things EPA and OSHA compliance.
- Develop and conduct OSHA compliance training for each facility under responsibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (such as CSP, CIH) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with waste water treatment plants and stormwater permitting.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, NFPA) and best practices.
- Experience conducting safety audits and inspections.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective safety training.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to travel frequently (50%-75%) to multiple manufacturing facilities within the region.
