About the role
Starting pay ~ $60,000 annually. We are proud to offer this competitive salary, with the final salary determined by geographic market rate for the selected candidate.
This role will work from home (WFH), and can be located in any state within the United States where Rise Against Hunger currently operates. The role will support development and partnership opportunities in our South Region.
Position Summary
As the Regional Philanthropy Manager, you will serve as the face of our organization for donors within your assigned region, building and maintaining relationships with our stakeholders, partners and philanthropic communities. Your primary accountability within this role will be to deliver Rise Against Hunger’s goals in relation to funding sustainability. You will also be responsible for building upon our existing major gift program, creating corporate partnerships and working closely with and supporting the Donor Engagement team in their continued efforts to build our funding base throughout the region. This is a fast-paced position requiring heavy collaboration with all internal departments to further drive fundraising success.
Who Are You
You’re a self-confident, versatile individual with strong presentation skills and at least five years of successful sales/ fundraising experience. You excel in a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet set deadlines. You have an acute attention to detail and advanced written and verbal presentation skills. You have experience managing contracts and are able to work independently with minimal supervision and broad expectations. You’re passionate about being a part of change in the world and helping Rise Against Hunger in their mission to end global hunger.
About the Team
Our team of Philanthropy Managers, work as the muscle of Rise Against Hunger through building lasting donor relationships with individuals and organizations. The RPM's focuses on fund development and fundraising and uses CRM’s to report on and track the clients that we have secured. The Regional Philanthropy Manager's directly impact the communities served by Rise Against Hunger with the donations and connections they build.
What You Will Own and Improve
Account Relationships and Fundraising: You will grow, develop and maintain a diverse portfolio of regional prospects through best practices and deliberately educate our prospects, donors and other key stakeholders about our pathways to end hunger. You will manage assigned accounts to provide excellent stewardship of donor relationships and fund development to reach ambitious fundraising goals and build on program strategies. You will strengthen and maintain the relationships with existing and prospective accounts by increasing engagement opportunities at the regional level and maintaining exceptional programmatic outcomes through consistent collaboration across the organization.
Regional Development: You will work as part of our Donor Engagement team to represent Rise Against Hunger to our external audiences and foster a network of relationships throughout our stakeholder audiences. You will work collaboratively with different members of the Donor Engagement team, leadership, and other internal departments to secure unrestricted operational and program funds while exploring new areas of growth in new markets. You will provide donors the information and insights necessary to elevate their initiatives and boost their philanthropic efforts. You will arrange regular Account Team meetings to plan engagement, strategies and delivery of benefits and aid in the preparation of written proposals, renewal agreement and other key partner documents.
Requirements
Four-year college or university program certificate; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of sales/fundraising experience
Experience using and maximizing CRM tools, preferably Salesforce
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year experience in non-profit environment
- Contract management experience
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio. Computer savvy to be able to easily pick up additional software programs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently from general instructions and broad work expectations
- Keen attention to detail as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills
- Self-confident, flexible and adaptable and able to work collaboratively with a variety of staff
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com is strongly preferred.
