Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

What will you do?
- Contribute to our manual and automation testing strategy
- Create manual and automation testing scenarios to identify problems (and solutions) in relation to application features, back end data integrity, customer and vendor integrations, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Develop and maintain functional test cases, integration test cases, and test artifacts including program code for automated scripts and test data
- Review functional specifications for new and existing features, and determine the requirements for executing end to end use cases, including manual and automated regression testing
- Adhere to our formal workflow and recommend improvements where appropriate, execute manual and automated test cases to validate functionality and regulatory compliance, inspect and enhance code quality, report test results
- Act as an intermediate tester, working closely with our Product team, and Tech team, to prepare collaborative solutions
Your background includes:
- 3-5 years of working experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Independent, passionate, transparent, creative, collaborative, and flexible
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of software quality assurance practices
- Experience in TDD, BDD, continuous integration and code review practices
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience with OO programming
- Demonstrated ability to originate and maintain procedures and technical documentations that strikes an appropriate balance between complexity and accessibility; able to communicate complex concepts to all audiences, irrespective of the subject matter or the reader’s background
- Extensive hands on experience with Ruby on Rails, Capybara, Selenium, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Cucumber, Gherkin, Rspec, and FactoryBot
- Experience with code repository management
- Experience with ticketing systems and ticket-based workflows
