We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Relations (PR) Manager to join our team. The PR Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans that promote the organization's brand, products, and initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of media relations, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive PR strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers. Pitch stories and secure media coverage across print, broadcast, and online channels. Manage briefing preparations for the InnerPlant team. 
  • Analyst Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with analysts covering the agtech and climate/sustainability spaces. Pitch briefings and manage briefing preparations for the InnerPlant team. 
  • Content Creation: Write press releases, media kits, articles, and other content materials. Ensure all communications align with brand voice and messaging.
  • Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans. Support the broader team during times of crisis or sensitive issues.
  • Event Management: Coordinate press conferences, media tours, exhibitions, and other PR events. Manage logistics, invitations, and media attendance.
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor media coverage and industry trends. Prepare reports analyzing PR campaigns and their impact. Use data to optimize future strategies.
  • Internal Communication: Keep internal stakeholders informed about PR activities, successes, and challenges. Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure cohesive messaging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Public Relations Manager or similar role in PR agencies or in-house PR departments.
  • Strong media contacts and relationships with journalists.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills. Ability to craft compelling narratives and content.
  • Crisis management experience and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in PR software (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) and social media platforms.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing and SEO principles.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel for events and media engagements.

Benefits

The US base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000 + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
