Athletes Unlimited is looking for a Project Manager, Sports Operations to support the Sports Operations team with special projects, season preparation, league operations, and coordination with the Athletes Unlimited Softball League. This position is full time, remote, and reports to the Vice President, Sports Operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to VP, Sports Operations, Senior Director, Sports Operations, and overall Sports Operations team
- Assist in organizing internal and external meetings and events including scheduling, tracking documents, taking meeting notes, and ensuring follow-ups as assigned
- Coordinate the tracking of future venue searches and assist with outreach and site visits as needed
- Assist with sourcing future hotels and in-market resources
- Work with the Sr. Director, Sports Operations and People & Culture to ensure we are on task and on schedule for SOS hiring in each season
- Work with travel management company and AU Travel team to arrange AUSL travel and accommodations as needed
- Work with Sports Ops vendor to ensure alignment with yearly and season-to-season calendars, as well as load-in and load-out schedules
- Work with the VP to review proposals prior to submission to the Finance and Legal teams
- Build high quality visual and written presentation materials (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva)
- Help operations team as needed with load-in and load-out during seasons in league locations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3-5 years of previous experience, preferably in sports or live entertainment
- Experience working with event and task management software (Asana, Teamworks)
- Highly proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Effective time management, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Team player with solution-oriented customer service skills
- Strong sense of aesthetics (event planning) and experience
- Willingness and ability to travel to league locations flexibly as needed (approximately 30% of the time)
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends for load-in, load-out, special events, and game days
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Benefits
This role is full-time, remote and is compensated at a range of $54,000 to $65,000 annually. While this is the intended range, the actual compensation may vary based on several factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, and geographic location of the position.
