About the Program: Ahead of the 2024 elections, Movement Labs is launching a political tactic incubator with unprecedented ambition. Our goal is to explore, analyze, and scale innovative strategies that persuade, mobilize, and register voters to counteract Trump's influence. We are committed to investing millions in successful initiatives, focusing on new organizing programs and turnout tactics. These efforts will target low-turnout, high-opportunity voters in marginalized communities, persuade Republican voters toward President Biden, and enhance voter registration efforts. The objective is to garner 50,000 votes for Biden ahead of the November Election.

Details & Compensation

• Location: Remote.
• Start Date: ASAP
• Compensation: $60,000-$70,000, depending on experience

• Duration: This is a full-time, exempt position through November 15, 2024.

About the Role:

Movement labs is hiring for the role of Small Businesses Manager for the 2024 cycle. Small Businesses Manager will coordinate with be the point person for our Small Businesses Project alongside our Special Projects Director. This person will create and maintain operational processes, and ensure the program is up and running and showing results leading up to the 2024 election.

This role will be responsible for executing the Small Businesses Project as a pilot and then scaling it up into the general election. This role will report to the Special Projects Director.

Our ideal candidate is an organizer-minded, small business advocate with a deep familiarity of campaigns and progressive organizations’ organizing needs. We are looking for someone who can think creatively and build a coalition with a get-it-done attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Build a pilot experiment for the Small Businesses Program alongside the Special Projects Director
• Recruit and manage a team of outreach coordinators on the ground in the battleground states (AZ/NV/MI/WI/PA/NC/GA)
• Work with the outreach coordinators to make initial introductory calls to secure points of contact
• Manage turfing and drive enrollment by scouting new territories
• Manage outreach coordinator check-in and out
• Recruit, hire and train staff for each turf
• Launch the pilot experiment by 8/1

Requirements

• 1 cycle of experience in a on a campaign or at a progressive organization
• Experience with managing and training staff remotely
• Proven ability to write clearly and effectively for multiple audiences and translate complex information clearly;
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills;
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities;
• Strong proficiency with, or ability to quickly learn, core tech tools: Asana, Slack, Google Workspace;
• Excellent ability to exercise discretion;
• Passionate about fighting fascism and defeating Donald Trump by re-electing President Biden.
