Overview
The Project Manager, Application Development is responsible for providing project management support for the Engineering team. This role will project manage application and technology projects in the areas of application development, network architecture and infrastructure. This role will establish and maintain relevant project management documentation such as project plans, JIRA tickets, executive decks, dashboards and reports, finance trackers, meeting notes, and risk logs. This position is remote and will predominately work across Mountain and Central time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Project manage application and technology projects as assigned in the areas of engineering, application development, and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with engineers, 3rd party vendors, solution architects, network infrastructure designers, and software development resources to identify tasks, develop roadmaps and execute towards a completed deliverable.
- Provide cross-project visibility to account for interdependencies.
- Manage 3rd party vendor to drive deliverables and follow through.
- Daily, hands-on program/project management throughout the program life cycle
- Ability to create long term strategy to optimize results.
- Document program and project deliverables
- Utilize PMI PMP and agile methodology in Agile environment.
- Integrate business policies and governance processes into planning & accountability for project roadmaps and strategy.
- Establish risk management, escalation paths, and take corrective measurements.
- Facilitate and lead project meetings and manage stakeholders’ communication.
- Identify, build, and report program KPIs to assess impact.
- Coordinate, manage and monitor the workflow of cross-functional teams.
- Provide and perform quality assurance checks on project artifacts and deliverables.

Candidate must have strong experience in project/program management gained through managing large and complex projects. Candidate must have the following:
- Minimum of 5 years project management experience managing multiple workstreams.
- Experience in a technical program/project management with cloud native technologies.
- Experience working in PMO environment with engineering and operations teams on projects related to the following: application development, application management, migrations, micro services, firewalls, and network architecture and infrastructure is necessary.
- Industry Experience working in Telecommunications, Satellite, Wi-Fi, Wireless, Mobile industries or environments is highly desired.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills are essential.
- Direct hands-on proficiency with Smartsheet, PPT, Excel and JIRA is necessary
- Experience working with Engineering, IT and Operations stakeholders in an applications development, software, SDLC environment is necessary.
- Management or Business Consultant experience is helpful.
- Agile project and program management methodology experience is necessary.
- Knowledge of resource allocation procedures, budgeting, and business case development is helpful.
- Communications skills (oral and written) to stakeholders including the ability to influence, strategize and negotiate.
- Ability to process information timely and present to stakeholders and executives.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required – Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business or Project Management preferred.
- Project Management certification or course work in PMP or PMI preferred.
Compensation
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This role has an annual salary range between $95,000-130,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
