Full Job Description
WWC Global, a Pequot Company, is seeking a full-time, remote Project Financial Analyst with a strong attention to detail. The Project Financial Analyst will be part of a collaborative team applying principles of cost accounting. They will assist the Accounting Team in day-to-day functions and support the program managers and project team members.
The Financial Analyst will:
- Attend contract kickoffs, field and address issues that impact financial execution of assigned contracts.
- Setup and maintain proper contract setup in Jamis Prime ERP.
- Contract setup and maintenance includes Work breakdown structure, revenue and billing schedule, cost and funding at line-item level, period of performance, funding source details (ACRN, SLIN), T&M rate tables, etc.
- Calculate and prepare funding details on subcontract orders.
- Aid the Program Manager to monitor available funding to provide timely limitation of fund notification as required for assigned contracts.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices then prepare accruals as needed.
- Communicate contract status and findings to Program Managers, Entity GM’s and Controller as needed.
- Prepare contract specific invoice documentation.
- Setup and maintain budget for assigned contracts and track performance to budget.
- Work with program managers to ensure budget adjustments are made in accordance with contract change.
- Seek ways to improve project efficiencies and increase profits.
- Identify trends affecting project needs.
- Identify negative variances; suggest and implement corrective actions.
- Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies
- Facilitate contract closeouts.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Expected salary range $55,000 - $75,000.
Work Environment:
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Travel:

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree //OR// 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience working for or with a DoD contractor in finance and accounting.
- Experience in DoD industry accounting systems such as Jamis, Deltek, or Unanet ERP systems.
- Experience with government contracting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment, be welcoming to change and able to provide innovative solutions.
- Able to identify potential issues and communicate and escalate through appropriate channels to mitigate risk.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency in vlookups and sumif formulas, pivot tables, and related functions.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation including fingerprinting.
- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, or accounting.
- Knowledge of full contract-life cycle support to ensure financial management of contracts, and GAAP and FAR principles.
- Experience managing large data sets with multiple data types for analysis.
- Familiarity with government contract types such as IDIQ, FFP, T&M and CPFF.
